Disabilities Employment Services

Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County One Stop Centers provide employers with enhanced access to an under utilized segment of the workforce… PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Workforce Solutions One Stop Centers provide services to ALL job seekers, but specialized accommodations and services are available to people with disabilities, if you ask

  1. Workforce Solutions provides needed accommodations and assistance to people with disabilities in their search for employment.
  2. When you register for employment services at a One Stop Center, simply ask your Career Consultant or the receptionist to put you in contact with a Disability Navigator.
  3. The Disability Navigator will arrange necessary accommodations to provide persons with disabilities access to programs or services.

Orientation & Job Search Workshops
People with Disabilities who have registered on the WorkInTexas.com are invited to attend a Disability Employment Services Orientation held every Thursday from 1 pm to 2 pm. This orientation will provide you information, direction, and assistance for your job search and related needs.

The Disability Employment Services Orientation is held every Thursday, from 1 pm to 2 pm in the Disability Conference Romm located at the Resource Connection Workforce Center at 1400 Circle Drive.

After attending orientation, customers are encouraged to attend Disability Job Search Workshops which are held on every Thursday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm in Conference Room #1 located at the Resource Connection Workforce Center at 1400 Circle Drive.

Facts You Should Know

A person with a disability as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has the right to access all services, programs and activities provided at the One Stop Centers.

Asking for HELP

If you have a disability and you require special service or accommodation YOU MUST LET US KNOW. This is your choice and your right. Disclosing the nature of your disability can have real benefits. By doing so, Workforce Solutions staff can provide the accommodations and assistance you are entitled to receive.

Making a referral

Making a referral is easy. JUST ASK any staff to put you in touch with a Disability Navigator.

Types of Services Available

Workforce Solutions can provide:

Disability Navigators can help you in many ways to connect with other community resources or to access services within the One Stop Centers.

Disability Employment Services Program Navigator, 817-531-5670, ext. 2851

Provides One Stop Center customers who have disabilities with employment related services including information, referral, job search assistance, job readiness training, and WIA intensive and training services.

Learning Disability Navigator, 817-531-5670, ext. 2852

Provides One Stop Center customers who have learning differences or issues with resources, information on accommodations, screening, and /or diagnostic testing.

TANF Disability Navigator, 682-551-1334

Assistance to decrease or eliminate barriers for TANF recipients who have disabilities or are caregivers to children or other family members with disabilities.
