Customized Training:

"Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County understands that in the world of business you need every advantage you can get."

Customized training is targeted to business needs and is designed to train and place workforce system clients in entry level career positions. Businesses are responsible for a minimum of 10% and a maximum of 50% of the training costs. A contract will be developed by the Workforce Improvement Staff to cover business and Workforce Solutions responsibilities. Training providers will be secured by and contracted to Workforce Solutions .

Customized training can be developed for a single or group of employers. Positions for which training is developed must be in one of the Board’s targeted Industries

Targeted Industries
Advanced Manufacturing (Aerospace)
Hospitality
Life Sciences
Logistics and Transportation.

Skills Development Funds are also available through the Texas Workforce Commission. These are competitive grants and must include the local Community College as the grant applicant. Skills development funds can pay for the development of customized training programs, training providers and instructional materials. The funds also underwrite the administration of a consortium approach to training.
